Following my graduate studies at Columbia University, I moved back to my home country Kuwait where I worked as a mental health counselor at a non-profit organization. Here at SoHE, my broad research goals are in promoting psychosocial wellbeing in underserved communities through multi-level prevention-based interventions and mental health policies. One of my main interests is in understanding the experiences and needs of family caregivers of individuals with chronic or life-limiting illnesses to inform on healthcare policies and improve their quality of life.
