The opportunity to connect with alumni and friends of the School of Human Ecology and to assist them in making philanthropic decisions is a great privilege. My commitment to advancing support for the School stems from a long association, first as a proud alumna with two Human Ecology degrees, fourteen years administering and coordinating internship placements, and a development position with the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA).
During my 20-year career with WFAA, I had the privilege of advancing support for the School of Human Ecology, developing meaningful relationships with alumni and friends who shared a passion for the mission of the School and a desire to give back in support faculty, student, and program excellence. Now, as special assistant to the Dean, my commitment to the School has come full circle, returning to my academic home while continuing to work with donors in the final months of the All Ways Forward Campaign. Today and over my many years with the School, I have witnessed the joy of giving and the transformative impact of philanthropy. Every gift, no matter the amount, directly or indirectly, touches somebody’s life. The collective impact of many gifts is an inspiring testament to the fact that it is within everyone’s ability to make a difference.
