I am an MS/PhD student in Human Development & Family Studies. I received my BS in human development from Brigham Young University in 2022, with an additional major in political science and minor in sociology. I am interested in the intersection of gender, sexuality, and family. Specifically, I research the emotional and social experiences of LGBTQ+ parents and families, including how individuals navigate gender roles and familial expectations. I am also interested in the navigation of masculinity and parenthood among fathers more broadly. With an interdisciplinary background, I approach these topics using a blend of family science and sociology, with an emphasis on feminist, critical, and Marxist perspectives. Through my work, I aim to develop social support systems for LGBTQ+ parents.
