Day of the Badger a success!

Day of the Badger may be over, but we’re still celebrating! Nearly 150 alumni and friends joined together, raising almost $37,000 to support high-quality learning experiences. Students can partake in case study competitions, industry and professional networking events, undergraduate research experiences and more to help them be career ready.

“There are so many additional opportunities outside of our classroom where we can help our students develop while advancing from fear to learning and ultimately growth,” Teaching Professor Nancy Murray says. “While not all content can be experiential learning, I believe engaging the students in a well-rounded, practical and applied approach of teaching is especially effective in our course curriculum.”

Thanks to the generous enthusiasm for Human Ecology, donors also unlocked a $15,000 challenge gift generously offered by Human Ecology alum Mary Strohmaier ’80 and UW–Madison alum Carl Strohmaier ’79, parents of a 2015 Human Ecology alum.
