Funding Opportunities for the week of January 20-24, 2020

INTERNAL – SoHE: SoHE research leads have issued calls for research incentive funding (“seed”) proposals for 2019-20, available only to those in SoHE. The CCFW / CDL / P25 application is due February 14, 2020. See the SoHE Research Support Search Funding Opportunities page for information about how to apply.

INTERNAL – SoHE: Faculty are invited to submit applications to the SoHE Course Release Incentive for fall semester 2020. Refer to the Dean’s memo for background information about the initiative. Click here to download the application form. Completed applications must be submitted via email to Dr. Lauren Papp (papp@wisc.edu) by March 1, 2020.

Alliant Energy Center Grants and Community Programs: The Alliant Energy Center Foundation funds projects that fit into one of three focus areas: Helping Families, Education and the Environment. Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000 to support programs and projects making an impact in Alliant Energy communities. Review the application process and FAQs for more information. Applications are due March 1, 2020.

IRB Workshops Spring 2020

This spring semester the ED/SBS IRB is offering several workshops and informational sessions:

  • Considerations for Qualitative Research, Research with Minors, and Research involving Technology
    This session will focus on additional considerations for performing qualitative research, research with minors, research involving technology and other unique research areas.

  • International Research & Summer Projects
    This session addresses issues unique to international research, travel, and other summer projects.

  • I Have IRB Approval – Now What?
    Interaction with the IRB does not end after obtaining initial approval for your project. This session explores the complete life-cycle of a human subjects research project after IRB approval, including: Changes, Continuing Review, Reportable Events, Study Completion, Data Storage, and Potential Audits
