Funding Opportunities for the week of July 17-July 23, 2020

Reposted: The Russell Sage Foundation (RSF) has long supported social science research with the aim of improving social and living conditions in the United States. In response to the crises of 2020, the foundation is dedicating its next funding cycle exclusively to research that seeks to improve our understanding of these extraordinary times. RSF will only accept letters of inquiry (LOI) relevant to one of RSF’s core programs, and which address at least one of the following issues: i) Research on the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting recession in the U.S; and ii) Research focused on systemic racial inequality and/or the recent mass protests in the U.S. Click here for the application guidelines. Letters of Inquiry (LOI) are due August 5, 2020.

The US Department of Agriculture AFRI Foundational and Applied Science Program supports grants in six AFRI priority areas to advance knowledge in both fundamental and applied sciences important to agriculture. The six priority areas are: Plant Health and Production and Plant Products; Animal Health and Production and Animal Products; Food Safety, Nutrition, and Health; Bioenergy, Natural Resources, and Environment; Agriculture Systems and Technology; and Agriculture Economics and Rural Communities. Research-only, extension-only, and integrated research, education and/or extension projects are solicited in this Request for Applications (RFA). See Foundational and Applied Science RFA for program-specific due dates, award limits, etc. Due dates vary by program in Spring 2021.

Reminder! The OVCRGE regularly updates information for researchers about returning to research activities. Be sure to bookmark the Return to Research webpage and check it often for new information. Faculty and PIs must request approval for all on-site activities conducted by individuals for whom they have responsibility, whether as part of research teams (e.g. a lab group) or as independent researchers (e.g. a graduate advisee). The application to return to research activities must be submitted through the OVCRGE’s on-line request form, which will be reviewed within SoHE. If you have questions about the research reboot process at SoHE, please contact Sarah Marcotte.
