Funding Opportunities for the week of February 17-21, 2020

Terra Foundation for American Art invites Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for its Academic Workshop and Symposium Grant program. Awards up to $25,000 support projects involving in-person exchanges such as workshops, symposia, and colloquia that advance scholarship in the field of American art (circa 1500–1980) that take place in i) Chicago or outside the U.S.; or ii) in the U.S. with at least one third of participants coming from outside the U.S. The next LOI deadline is March 16, 2020.

Russell Sage Foundation Small Grants Program invites applications for projects in Computational Social Science. This initiative supports innovative social science research by early career scholars that utilizes new data and methods to advance our understanding of the research issues that comprise the foundation’s core programs. This program is primarily interested in research that explores and improves the understanding of social, psychological, political and economic outcomes. Graduate students in the final years of their graduate program are eligible to apply. Applications are due March 17, 2020.

Save the date! On Tuesday April 7, 2020 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM, SoHE welcomes Ellen Jacks, Grants and Reference Librarian, to lead a session on how to search for grant funding opportunities.
Grants: Tools for Finding Funding will provide an overview of tools and resources to help make searching for grants efficient and effective. SoHE faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend. Please RSVP via this link.
