Funding Opportunities for the week of January 13-17, 2020

INTERNAL – SoHE: SoHE research leads have issued calls for research incentive funding (“seed”) proposals for 2019-20, available only to those in SoHE. Proposal due dates are as follows:

Center for Financial Security (CFS) [by invitation only] – Due January 21, 2020
CommNS – Due January 21, 2020
CCFW / CDL / P25 – Due February 14, 2020

INTERNAL – SoHE: Faculty are invited to submit applications to the SoHE Course Release Incentive for fall semester 2020. Refer to the Dean’s memo for background information about the initiative. Click here to download the application form. Completed applications must be submitted via email to Dr. Lauren Papp (papp@wisc.edu) by March 1, 2020.

Learning Opportunity / Event

UW Institute for Research in the Humanities (IRH) Grant-Writing Workshops: The College of Letters & Science and the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are pleased to announce that on Thursday, February 20, 2020, Mary Macklem, Senior Program Officer from the NEH, will be holding a series of application-writing workshops on the UW-Madison campus.

All events are free, but registration is required, both for the general morning sessions and for the afternoon one-on-one sessions. To register, complete the online registration form by Friday, February 14, 2020.
