Funding Opportunities
UW Global Health Institute: The UW Global Health Institute (GHI) application period is now open for its 2020 grants and awards. This competitive grant program is designed to support global health efforts of faculty, staff and graduate students across campus, fostering the Wisconsin Idea locally and globally. Seed Grant applications require a letter of intent by December 20, 2019. Grant applications are due January 27, 2020. Refer to the program website for additional information, timelines, and FAQs about the grant program.
Center for Retirement Research (CRR) at Boston College: The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College (CRR) is soliciting proposals for the Steven H. Sandell Grant Program for retirement or disability policy research. The program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) through the Retirement and Disability Research Consortium (RDRC). The program’s purpose is to promote research by junior or non-tenured scholars. See the sponsor website and proposal guidelines for more information. Proposals are due January 31, 2020.
Russell Sage Foundation: The Russell Sage Foundation (RSF) and the William T. Grant Foundation are launching a third round of their targeted small grants competition for early career scholars, Improving Education and Reducing Inequality. Award levels are $10,000 for graduate students and $20,000 for early career faculty. Applications are due February 4, 2020 at 2:00PM Eastern time. Training and Educational Opportunities
- UW Education and Social and Behavioral Science (ED/SBS) IRB: The upcoming session Consent Considerations will review in detail each of the consent processes that may be used when conducting research. Also discussed will be the most frequent errors seen by IRB Staff when reviewing consent forms and documents, and how to avoid those errors. The session will be held December 4, 2019 from 10:00 AM to -11:00 AM in Lathrop Hall Room B137. Register via this link.
