PSL Receives Accreditation | Blumenstock Recognized with SSSS Rising Scholar Award

Preschool Lab Awarded with National Early Childhood Program Accreditation

Preschool DoorThe Preschool Lab (PSL) has achieved the National Accreditation award from National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA). Having this national accreditation allows PSL to serve low income student families that are eligible for Access for Infants and Mothers (AIM) funding, a federal grant that provides support funding to eligible UW students with children. Prior to 2017, only UW-Platteville had this accreditation in Wisconsin.

 

 

Shari Blumenstock Recognized with SSSS Rising Scholar Award

Shari Blumenstock, doctoral candidate in the Human Development and Family StudiesCongratulations to Shari Blumenstock on being recognized as a Rising Scholar in the field of sexuality by The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS). She was recognized as an Early Scholar and there were only 50 awards worldwide. Blumenstock is a doctoral student in the Human Development and Family Studies department. Her current research focuses on sexuality within romantic relationships, with an emphasis on sexual desire, pleasure, and partner influences. The SSSS Rising Scholars Recognition Program recognizes scholars, both early and emerging, for their work and accomplishments relating to sexuality research, therapy, education, practice, and more.
