SoHE Assistant Professor Marianne Fairbanks was highlighted in a Wisconsin Life article talking about her pursuit to create solar power textiles. She is working with Chemistry Professor Trisha Andrews on the project. Read more about the project here.

UW Campus Food Shed addresses food insecurity
The University is offering free produce to faculty, staff, and students in a new way, a food shed. Located at 4 different places on campus: the Student Activity Center, Science Hall, Allen Centennial Gardens, and Plant Sciences Building, students can get fresh, free produce from refrigerators in these locations. This was created after a student saw leftover produce while working in a plant lab on campus. Check out more of the story here.
