Davies Chair in Child & Family Well-Being and HDFS Associate Professor, has been listed as a top leader in mindfulness research in the December issue of Mindful magazine. Dr. Duncan is a leader in the field of mindfulness and is seeking ways to test how mindfulness-based childbirth and parenting affects mothers’ mental health, stress physiology, and well-being, as well as infants’ behavioral, biological, and neurological development. Flanagan lecture covered by El Mercurio

Professor Connie Flanagan, Ph.D.Connie Flanagan, PhD, was interviewed by the Chilean national newspaper, El Mercurio, in the context of the keynote lecture she delivered at the meetings of the Center for Studies of Conflict and Cohesion (COES) November 9/10 in Vina del Mar, Chile. As Chileans gear up for the upcoming national elections, the interview focused on why the years before 18 are an important time for civic discussions and actions and how parents and teachers can engage children’s interest.
