I am a PhD student in the Consumer Behavior & Family Economics program. I am from Peru, and I am excited to be part of this program to deepen my knowledge in consumer sciences and economics as I pursue my research interests in financial inequalities and economic development for vulnerable communities.
Being part of the Consumer Behavior & Family Economics program complements my background in sociology and public affairs, and my major in communication sciences. I am particularly interested in exploring the causes of financial inequality, the role of consumer behavior in resource-limited settings, and the analysis of economic policies affecting underserved communities. By examining these factors, I aim to create evidence-based frameworks that inform targeted interventions, such as improving financial literacy programs and advocating for equitable policy measures. This focus aligns with my broader commitment to reducing inequality and fostering resilient communities.
