I am a PhD student in Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My research interests focus on children and families affected by parental incarceration, caregiver–child relationships, resilience and healing, and child-friendly visitation. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I spent more than a decade working in marketing and business development, where I worked closely with families, particularly women entrepreneurs, and gained insight into their everyday challenges. I also gained experience in child engagement activities in basic schools (both in Ghana and in the United States), school counseling, community engagement, and prison outreach. These professional, cultural, community, and parenting experiences continue to shape my commitment to research that supports the well-being of children and families.
