Hwi ChoeGraduate Studentshe/her/hers

I am a PhD student in the Consumer Behavior & Family Economics program with a strong focus on food insecurity and poverty, particularly in relation to policy applications. I hold a master’s degree in consumer science from Sungkyunkwan University. Using a variety of data sources and quantitative methods, my research explores the impact of food insecurity on consumer health and well-being. I am also deeply interested in causal inference and experimental research, utilizing these approaches to uncover the underlying social and economic mechanisms of food insecurity and analyzing how these factors impact individuals and households. My work aims to propose policy solutions to alleviate poverty and food insecurity, contributing to real-world social change.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, exploring new places on foot, and watching films.
