Alison DeShaw RoweDirector of Strategic Communications

Making connections. Sharing stories. Creating impact. These are the passions that have shaped my life’s work.

To me, there is nothing more captivating than the human experience and all its dimensions. I am fascinated by how our environments and experiences impact the trajectory and quality of our lives as individuals, families, and communities.

As a communicator, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the missions of non-profit, health care and academic institutions in Atlanta, Chicago, and Madison — each sharing a common link of enhancing quality of life.

The spirit of curiosity, innovation, and collaboration that permeates the School of Human Ecology is inspiring. It is an honor to be part of this extraordinary group of educators, researchers, professionals, and students all striving to make the world a better place.
