Alicia HazenAssistant Dean & Career Services Director

As the assistant dean and career services director, I lead and coordinate school-wide career and leadership development initiatives for undergraduate students in the School of Human Ecology at UW–Madison. This includes providing strategic leadership for the vision, creation, and implementation of career education and career services. In addition, I oversee our team of career advisors, who provide individual and group advising on all aspects of student career development, including navigating the job/internship search process, writing strong application materials, preparing for interviews, etc. Furthermore, I serve as an undergraduate academic dean, providing dean’s services to students, and consulting with faculty/instructors regarding student-related issues and concerns. As part of my role, I also work to support students experiencing distress to collaboratively develop solutions to both academic and personal challenges and make referrals to campus and community resources, as needed.
