Jonathan HenkelDirector of Academic Planning & Assessment

I have spent the better part of the last two decades enthusiastically serving students, administrators, staff, and faculty in an educational setting. I am truly passionate about building programs that support success while advocating for the diversity of individualized interests.

As the director of academic planning and assessment in the School of Human Ecology, I oversee academic planning and management, data analysis, learning assessment, and program review. As a data-driven academic and student services professional, I am thrilled to provide school-wide leadership for efficient and effective academic planning in support of educational innovation and the school’s strategic goals. The new Academic Planning & Innovation unit provides oversight to interdisciplinary academic programs and signature student experiences, while playing a key role in fostering a culture of educational excellence and innovative program development.
