Carolyn JenkinsonCollections Manager for the Center for Design and Material Culture and Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection

I earned my BA from Indiana University Bloomington and my master’s degree in Design Studies with concentrations in textile history, material culture studies, and museum studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Some of my research interests include Latin American textiles, hand-manufactured textile techniques and embellishments, museum anthropology, and textile conservation.

As a weaver, dyer, and seamstress, I combine my academic and museum interests in historical textiles with my love of hands-on fiber arts practices.
