Jennifer Navarro ChavezGraduate Studentshe/her/hers

I am a Latine scholar interested in how social, cultural, and identity-related factors impact psychological and socioemotional development and well-being among Latine children and families. Specifically, I am interested in how structural factors, including discrimination, create stress and influence psychological, physical, and emotional health and development. Additionally, I am drawn to familial support and cultural values as protective factors, including culturally relevant mindfulness practices.

Through an intersectional and social justice-oriented approach, I am committed to representing and empowering the Latine community.
