As a career advisor for the School of Human Ecology, I serve students majoring in Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies, which is the fastest growing major in Human Ecology. I also serve as a liaison to the School of Human Ecology’s student organizations and student leaders by providing leadership development and training, as well as helping connect our student organizations to professional organizations, employers, and alumni.
I bring a wide variety of experience to the school, as I spent time in the private sector — more specifically, marketing and advertising — prior to deciding to pursue a career in higher education and student affairs. In combination with my work from the private sector, I have experience in career advising, as well as graduate advising and teaching, as I was both a graduate intern and graduate teaching assistant at separate times while I completed my master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis: Higher Education/Student Affairs from UW–Madison.
My passion for career services comes from my own unique career development journey, as well as my desire to help students find fulfillment in their own personal and professional lives. One thing I love to hear from my students is “I am not sure what I want to do after I graduate,” because I enjoy exploring the endless possibilities with them.
