I joined the U.S. Army in 1988, serving in Germany and the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. While serving, I learned leadership and team building skills that would be used throughout my life.
I am a serial entrepreneur and have worked for various local and international businesses over the course of my 30+ year in the private sector. Currently, I am the President and co-owner of Sprinkman Real Estate and Design, a boutique residential real estate brokerage and interior design firm located in Madison, WI. I have used my past corporate and military experience to build skills in areas of new business development, strategic planning, marketing and branding to grow our business into a premier luxury brokerage with over $2.2B in sales as a collective brokerage and agency.
Why do you care about Human Ecology?
As a human ecologist, I care holistically about the health and well-being of all families. I care about human ecology as it pertains to preparing and providing our students with the necessary tools and resources through academics and research to improve individual lives while driving economic growth for all humankind.
What excites you about your role as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board?
I’m super excited about the vision and direction Dean Shim has taken the school over her tenure. She respects and appreciates the Dean’s Advisory Boards opinions, thoughts and suggestions for helping her and her staff shape the future of the school. As one advisor, I feel the appreciation and know my thoughts are heard, and collectively the Dean’s Advisory Board is making a difference for not only our current students and faculty, but also for our future human ecologists.
