Carol Vander SluisDean's Advisory Board Member

My career spans 33 years with a focus on advising in the investment management industry. I am an investment consultant/advisor to individuals, corporate operating funds, endowments, foundations, and retirement plan assets.

Why do you care about Human Ecology?

The study of the human condition in a multi-faceted manner is an important key to the continued health of our local communities and global society.

What excites you about your role as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board?

The requirement of every undergraduate Human Ecology student to complete an internship as part of their education makes it imperative for the school to have strong relationships in the community to connect with potential employers. Garnering paid internships for all Human Ecology students is an exciting way to be involved.
