Last call! SoHE Course Release Incentive for Research applications are due March 1, 2020. SoHE faculty are invited to submit applications to the SoHE Course Release Incentive for Research for fall semester 2020. Refer to the Dean’s memo for background information about the initiative. Grants: Tools for Finding FundingTuesday April 7, 2020 – Faculty, staff, and students of SoHE are invited to this grant-seeking workshop led by Ellen Jacks, Grants and Reference Librarian at Memorial Library. Attendees will be shown and work with several grant-finding tools and databases available for searching for funding to support research, conferences, travel, and a variety of other academic activities. This workshop is appropriate for SoHE faculty, staff, and students interested in learning about how to find funding, and how to set up customized searches to aid in finding funding opportunities in their areas of interest. WiscCores Showcase 2020Wednesday March 4, 2020 – Welcoming all members of the UW research community – faculty, staff, postdocs, graduate students, undergraduates, and campus partners – to explore the capabilities of campus research cores and shared resource units in a showcase of research services and support on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 9:00 am–12:00 pm in Varsity Hall at Union South. The WiscCores Showcase connects researchers with the resources that can support their work: learn about imaging, informatics, education, nanotechnology, surveys, spectroscopy, data management and more! REGISTER TO ATTEND to receive reminders and updates; and walk-in attendance is also welcome!
