My research is centered around social-emotional development and mental well-being of underrepresented and vulnerable children, youth, and families, with focus on three main topics: (1) exploring promotive and risk factors across multi-systems, (2) developing and validating instrument scales that demonstrate measurement invariance, and (3) developing, evaluating, and informing prevention and intervention programs, such as school-based social-emotional learning (SEL), poverty prevention, and child and family policy. I mainly use nest-structured, longitudinal, and administrative data to conduct quantitative research that aims to build research-practice connections and an equitable developmental environment. I am currently advised by Drs. Quentin Riser and Sarah Halpern-Meekin, and I work at the REEL and SELASIA research labs.
