RSP requests researchers report pandemic-related impacts to their sponsored projects via a newly developed reporting tool.

Dr. Melody Harvey to Join Consumer Science in Fall 2020

Currently the National Poverty Fellow at the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families, Harvey studies how public policies affect economically vulnerable populations in the U.S., with a focus on the effects of K-16 financial education on the financial outcomes of youth and young adults across different socioeconomic groups.

Funding opportunities this week include Spencer Foundation COVID-19 impacts on educational inequality, due May 18; and Social Science Research Council small grants for COVID-19 research, due June 1. NIH funding opportunities include those for biopsychosocial research; Native American health; and maternal health racial disparities. NSF Developmental Sciences (DS) program’s annual funding cycle has a deadline of July 15. Campus is offering a Grant-Writing Boot Camp for social scientists, apply by June 1. RSP has a new webpage addressing furlough impacts on sponsored programs.
